Contribute to making SURJ Bay Area more Accessible

SURJ believes that we must align our actions with our values now, so that we can continue to create the safe, caring, peaceful and just community we imagine. We realize that our organizing for racial justice and the dismantling of white supremacy is only as effective as it is accessible. We commit to being proactive in making our spaces and actions as accessible as possible so that we can include all folx— particularly those who have traditionally been excluded and disenfranchised.
This accessibility work often includes hiring ASL interpreters, translators, and/or childcare providers at workshops and mobilizations as well as making sure that venues are accessible. Help us make our events accessible by contributing today!
As with all of our fundraising, SURJ Bay Area commits to giving at least half of the money we raise to the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color led organizations we partner with. Our efforts to have events accessible are a work in progress; we appreciate input and feedback. We pledge to be as clear as possible about accessibility details in all our communications. Please feel free to contact us at accessibility@surjbayarea.org.
