​Join us as we take a deep dive into the history of policing in the United States -- from its roots in slave patrols to today a $100 billion dollar industry. We will address why a range of popular police reforms are not enough to address the root problems and create true community safety. This session is the second workshop in a series SURJ Bay Area will be offering over the coming months to invite more white people into the movement to Defund the Police.
