Due to the Omicron COVID-19 surge, we have made the decision to cancel this event for the safety of our community members. We encourage you to join us at APTP's MLK Day car caravan on Monday, January 17

MLK weekend is coming up soon and we're excited to be in the streets again after this very challenging, difficult year. Showing up as strong allies on MLK weekend has been a significant way we have supported the Anti Police-Terror Project (APTP) since the start of our chapter. Especially at this time of heightened demands for more policing, it’s so important for us to join with them in action.

Join us at a Human Billboard at Grand Lake Theater, Oakland, on Saturday, Jan 15 from 12-1. SURJ and friends will mount a feisty public manifestation of support for racial justice, engage in dialogue with white folks, and leaflet passersby to advocate for rethinking calling the police. We will have plenty of signs, but feel free to bring your own. Chairs will be available.
