Have you noticed yourself getting defensive when the topic of race comes up? Have you noticed yourself getting anxious when conflict arises? You aren't alone. Defensiveness and fear of open conflict are both characteristics of white supremacy culture that we will be exploring in this workshop. Saturday Dialogues is a space where we explore how white supremacy shows up in our lives and how we can begin to dismantle it within ourselves, our relationships, and our communities. Through small and large group dialogues, we build skills for emotional regulation and interpersonal connection (e.g., active listening, giving feedback). The space is open to any white person interested in honest conversation, reflection, and confrontation with race, racism and white privilege.
