Join SURJ in supporting Legal Services for Prisoners with Children / All of Us or None’s annual statewide lobby day in Sacramento for formerly-incarcerated people and family members with incarcerated loved ones. Quest for Democracy Day supports pending legislation that affects people impacted by incarceration and lifts up the voices and leadership of those most affected by the prison industrial complex.
Last year SURJ mobilized dozens of people to Sacramento and raised thousands of dollars which helped LSPC/AUON rent buses to bring members to the capitol from across the state as well as provide food and lodging for participants. Let’s do it again!
Here are three ways to show up:
• RSVP below to join SURJ in Sacramento! We're mobilizing as many folks as possible to show solidarity with formerly-incarcerated people and family members. Carpools are being organized! Let's roll together!
• Make a Donation! Support Quest for Democracy Day by helping cover the costs of trainings, transportation, meals, and lodging for this massive statewide mobilization. DONATE HERE
• Spread the Word! You can help get the word out about Quest for Democracy Day to your friends, co-workers, neighbors, organizations, communities, and through social media. Share this page or the Facebook event page and help us get as many people as possible to Sacramento on May 30th.
NOTE: If you are a formally-incarcerated person or a family member, and want to participate in the Sunday, April 29 Training Day as well as the Monday, April 30 Lobby Day, find more info here.
