Red Power, Internationalism, and National Liberation Come out for this Center for Political Education event to celebrate the release of Nick Estes' new book Our History is the Future: Standing Rock Versus the Dakota Access Pipeline, and the Long Tradition of Indigenous Resistance. Estes (Lower Brule) will be joined in conversation by Roxanne Dunbar-Oritz, historian and author of An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States. Bay Area Vigil Against Islamophobia As we mourn the loss of life in New Zealand, let’s honor their lives by expanding, connecting and defending our movements. Initiate Justice Lobby Training Initiate Justice will be training its members on how to be an effective statewide advocate, without having to go all the way to Sacramento! During this In-District Lobby Training, you will learn: 1. How to find/contact your state representatives, 2. How to set up an in-district meeting, 3. Tips on being an effective advocate, and more.
